THE PROJECT

The problem: Sancor Seguros is the largest insurance company in Argentina, with major operations in other Latin American countries and the United States, began to enter the Brazilian market in 2013.

With the entry of Sancor Seguros in Brazil, it became necessary to launch a product of higher turnover for insurance, Auto insurance has a very small lifetime.

The Challenge: to lead a team of multidisciplinary developers and a several companies to delivery of the project in six months without possibility of delays, complementing auto insurance features already done and creating an engine to calculate the policy price, which at the time, the DB1 did not know, preserving and ensuring that there would be no impact on pre-existing features int the ERP product.

The team: A project manager to organize the work with all the 5 companies involved in the project and 4 senior developers in .Net.

Methodology: The project management was based on PMBOK practices and agile principles based on SCRUM for the development team to deliver small features every SPRINT, in this way the customer could already parameterizing and testing the new features.

The results: Sancor Seguros started selling auto insurance in the desired date, achieving a great return on investment with this project and having your first project effectively delivered in the agreed time.

THE PROJECT

The problem: One of the largest companies providing servisse in installation and maintenance of networks and telecommunications systems. With units in Brazil and throughout Latin America, has more than 11mil employees.

The materials management process of his ERP, did not meet the company needs, therefore, it came used many spreadsheets to supply deficiencies of this control, generating errors, rework and fraud risks, in addition was impossible to presenting real time information.

The project involved the entire software delivery lifecycle, requirements analysis and elicitation, design and architecture, development, testing, deployment and software delivery.

The challenge: Was to develop a company's materials management solution. This solution should control beyond the stock of physical materials and steering wheels (material in the hands of technicians), flow, traceability and applying them through processes developed by the responsible department in the company.

The solution should also be fully integrated, and real-time processing, with Microsiga system ERP, such as: Finance, Accounting, HR, Tax, Fixed Assets, Purchasing and especially the stock sector.

The team: The project mobilizes teams of client and DB1 teams, the DB1 team was 1 Project Manager, 3 delphi developers, 2 business analysts and 1 test analyst.

Methodology: The methodology to ensure the positive outcome of the project was bases in some practices contained in the PMBOK and agile development methodology - SCRUM.

The results: The result for our client, came with the system implemented in several units distributed in Brazil and Latin America, covering the entire process of materials management, reducing operational controls performed in spreadsheets, providing greater operational agility, extract management information for decision-making and especially, eliminating chances of fraud or deviation of the stock sector.

THE PROJECT

The problem: One of the largest agricultural cooperatives in Brazil, with over 3 billion in sales and over 1,500 employees, apart all the processes of reception, storage and sale of his products, has several industries in order to generate more value to its members. One of the main industries is the Agromalte has largest malting plant in Latin America.

The challenge: With outdated applications developed in the 90s, DB1 was contracted to develop, together with a Agrária team, a modern and complete software covering different industrial plants (Maltaria, feed, Oil Mill, Bakery, etc.), processes, inventory, marketing and shipping of industrial conglomerate, with a high degree of automation and integration with hardware equipments..

The team: The strategy was to set up a mixed team, with collaborators in DB1, which would bring a set of methodologies of management and execution of know-how projects in agricultural cooperatives and also employees of Agrária Cooperative, which would add business knowledge of the cooperative on the pitch, facilitate the absorption process of the system by the internal team in the future, as well as oxygenate internal staff with new and efficient working methods. Altogether, a team of 12 professionals has been structured between functional analysts, developers in Progress code language, one project manager DB1 and another from Agrária, making the shared management of the project..

The results: The project was delivered on time, within budget, one of the strongest cases of successful projects in Agrária Cooperative. It is the basis for a partnership that lasts for nine years with more than 100 thousand hours of development, through successive projects.

THE PROJECT

The problem: As a company focused on systems and sensors to monitoring and maintenance of power sector assets such as large transformers substations. Now highly innovative and with global presence with his products and services. It was natural for the company looking for a partner to take the process of asset management through automated sensors to a new level. Thus the sensors are produced in an outsourced Industry, the software was developed and maintained by DB1.

The challenge: The great challenge in this project was the ability to understand and receive information sent by the sensors that are connected in asset substations, process the information in preventive and predictive way to take action to prevent equipment problems. To successfully address these issues, we create several business rules as well as the conversion of all the good practices already used in the computer language. The ultimate goal is to have a software that anticipates problems, based on data from the sensors and sends technicians to perform preventive maintenance, recording all interactions in these maintenance software via tablets.

The team: The project has a project manager and 6 programmers with strong knowledge of the .NET platform and application architecture, one Android developer, 2 test analyst and 2 business analysts.

The results: The system is in production on power distribution companies, generating business value for Treetech customers, increasing the availability of transmission lines, avoiding power outages and fines from ANEL regulation department, through a system that manages all the maintenance of predictive way.

THE PROJECT

The problem: Maringá City Hall: It has more than 370 000 inhabitants, 35 basic health units, a hospital and a central laboratory.

The secretariat had many problems to drug stock management, problems with fraud in inventories, tests being asked unduly delay to serve the citizen, trouble tickets and records of the people, citizens seeking the same drug in different units, people from other municipalities being met with city resources and lack of information on the health problems of citizens or dealing with epidemics such as dengue.

The challenge: Through a public tender, the DB1 has been selected to developed a project that covers all processes of the secretariat, delivering beyond what was bid both in features and in tools (gave its framework that streamlines the development process and increases and enhances the access to information such as report writers, to the city of Maringa). Always focused on solving the city's problems and especially the citizen living in the city.

The team: Delphi, Java and Android Mobile developers, business analysts and one project manager.

The results: As a result, Maringa has been cited as a national reference in health management, including being referenced by the Health Minister at various events. Certainly generating a political gain for public managers, and deservedly, because currently they have information provided by the software that let them run assertively shares, reducing costs and increasing efficiency in serving the population. Another strong feature of the system is the implementation of anti-fraud routines that do not allow the doctor to dispense medicines or require tests that are not relevant to the diagnosis, generating savings of millions of reais to the municipality.

Recently, DB1, gave all copyrights of your property so that the city hand over the system to other municipalities, free of charge, including source code, for the project to be replicated in other municipalities and answer properly more citizens in Brazil.
